Your Three Stones

One stone for your sign, a set for your element and one for your birth month — listed side by side, because each comes from a different tradition.

Private by design: the maths runs on your device and nothing is sent to Zodiacs Fate.

Three Traditions, One Birth Date

Look up the stone for your sign and you will often find conflicting answers. That is because three separate traditions are involved: birth-month stones, sign stones and element crystals.

Your Three Stones shows all three side by side, labelled so you can see which answer comes from which source.

Seeing them together removes the confusion and lets you choose deliberately.

The Birth-Month Stone

The modern birth-month list was standardised by jewellers in the early twentieth century and is the one most people recognise. It links a gemstone to each calendar month, regardless of zodiac sign.

It is a cultural and commercial tradition rather than an astrological one, but it is widely loved and easy to find in jewellery.

Because it follows the calendar, two people with the same sign can have different month stones.

The Sign Stone

Astrological writers have long associated a gemstone with each zodiac sign. Different authors offer different lists, so you may see variations elsewhere.

The sign stone shown here comes from the same list used throughout Zodiacs Fate's sign profiles, keeping the site consistent.

It is the most directly astrological of the three.

The Element Crystals

Modern crystal practice often groups stones by the four elements: warm, bright stones for fire; green and earthy ones for earth; clear and pale-blue ones for air; shimmering, sea-coloured ones for water.

Your sign's element determines which set appears. Some people also choose a crystal from the element their chart lacks, as a reminder of qualities they want to cultivate.

The Element Scale can show you which element that is.

Symbolism, Not Medicine

Gemstones carry rich histories and meaningful symbolism, which makes them lovely gifts and personal keepsakes.

They do not have proven healing powers and should never replace medical treatment or professional care.

Enjoy them as objects of beauty and reflection, and read our Health Disclaimer for more.
