Natal Blueprint

The sky exactly as it was at your first breath: Sun, Moon and eight planets, your ascendant and midheaven, and all twelve houses — laid out on a golden wheel and explained one placement at a time.

Date of birth
Time of birth

Accuracy hinges on the time: the ascendant moves into a new sign about every two hours. Birth certificates, hospital records or a parent's memory are the usual sources.

Pick a match from the dropdown. Latitude, longitude and the clock offset that applied on your birthday — summer time included — are filled in automatically.

Use the offset in force on the birth date itself. In regions with daylight saving, summer births are usually one hour further ahead than winter ones.

Everything is calculated right here on your device. Zodiacs Fate never receives, sees or stores your birth details.

Behind the wheel

Planet positions are calculated with established orbital formulas — the same family of methods used in astronomy textbooks — and are accurate to a small fraction of a degree. That is far finer than any sign or house boundary needs.

Houses use the Placidus system, the most common choice among Western astrologers. Placidus breaks down inside the Arctic and Antarctic circles, so births there are drawn with equal houses instead, and the page tells you when that happens.

For professional work such as birth-time rectification, a dedicated ephemeris program remains the right tool. This blueprint is designed to be read and understood.

Your Sky at Birth

A natal chart, or birth chart, is a map of the sky at the exact moment and place you were born. It shows where the Sun, Moon and eight planets were, which sign was rising on the eastern horizon and how the sky divided into twelve houses.

The Natal Blueprint calculates all of this from your birth date, time and town, then draws it as a wheel and explains each placement in plain English.

It is the most complete picture astrology can offer of an individual, far richer than a Sun sign alone.

Why the Birth Time Matters So Much

Most planets move slowly enough that the date fixes their signs. The ascendant, midheaven and houses are different: they change with the Earth's rotation, shifting roughly one sign every two hours.

An error of a few minutes rarely matters, but an error of an hour or more can move the ascendant or several planets into different houses.

If you are unsure of your time, check a birth certificate, hospital record or family records, or read our guide to what a chart can reveal without one.

How Your Birthplace Is Used

Your town provides two things: its latitude and longitude, which fix the horizon used for houses, and its historical time zone, which converts your local birth time into universal time.

Time zones and daylight-saving rules have changed many times in many countries. The Natal Blueprint looks up the offset that actually applied on your birth date.

If your town is not in the list, you can enter coordinates and the time-zone offset by hand.

Reading the Wheel

Start with the big three: Sun, Moon and ascendant. Together they describe your purpose, your emotional needs and the impression you make.

Next look at Mercury, Venus and Mars, which explain thinking, love and drive. Then notice which houses hold the most planets — those areas of life tend to feel especially important.

Finally read the short interpretation for each planet. Take what resonates and treat the rest as questions to consider.

Accuracy and Purpose

Planetary positions are calculated with established orbital methods and are accurate to well within a fraction of a degree. That is more than enough for reading signs and houses.

Professional applications such as birth-time rectification require specialist software. The Natal Blueprint is designed for understanding, reflection and learning.
